Texas Saddle Leather

Leathery bouquet that smells like the inside of a saddle-shop!

The Mini Bowl measures roughly 10x6x3 and holds 10-12oz of wax. We have wicked these with 3 crackling wood wicks for maximum scent throw! Please read directions below carefully before lighting your dough bowl candle!

Farmhouse Rustic Dough Bowl candles are the newest and hottest trend when it comes to home decor! Each wooden bowl is hand carved, so no 2 bowls are the same! These bowls are made to look rustic from raw wood. Some may have knot holes, scratches, knife marks, saw blade marks, sap or minor cracks. These are not defects but a natural part of the wood. Size, color and shape will vary. We try to minimize defects but we cannot guarantee that your bowl will not have any of these character marks.

The wood bowls are hand carved so the exact dimensions, and amount of wax each holds will be slightly different. Currently, our average size is about 10” long x 6” wide and about 3” tall. They hold roughly 10-12 ounces of wax and have a burn time of about 20 hours. (It’s a much faster burn with 3 wicks!) The candle reaches an entire melt pool around hour 4--which is exactly when you'd extinguish the flame according to the directions below.

Burning Instructions: We will always recommend that you abide by the federal warnings/burning instructions that are listed on a sticker that is attached to each and every one of our candles. Here's a recap of those guidelines:

    • Burn within sight. (Do not light and walk away, be in the same room while lit.)

    • Keep away from flammable objects.

    • Keep away from children and pets.

    • Trim wick to 1/4" before lighting.

    • Keep candle free of any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings.

    • Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistance surface.

    • Do not burn candle for more than four hours at a time.

    • Stop use when only 1/2" of wax remains.

We cannot guarantee 100% water-tightness of the bowl due to the nature of the wood; however, rest assured we test each bowl for water-tightness before we pour wax into it. We recommend if you do purchase one of these dough bowl candles and light it, ensure it sits on a fire resistant surface that can also handle any wax clean up that may be necessary.

Cleaning Instructions: Carefully hold the bowl perpendicular over a waste basket and warm up the leftover wax with a blow dryer or heat gun. Pour out the liquid wax into the waste basket--never down the sink! Once the wax is poured out, carefully remove the wick holders. While still warm, I recommend using a blue shop towel and some isopropyl alcohol to clean out the bowl. (Some websites say use soap and water, but you really don't want any wax in your plumbing system.) From there you can use the decorative dish as a fantastic holder of keys, coins, or wallets near your front door, or decor anywhere else around the house/office.
